Poets Among Us

I posted a picture on Facebook and asked my friends to write a Mary Oliver inspired poem to go along with it. This is one of my favorites! Written by my good friend from college, Cecily Kost Waratuke, who was so inspired she wrote her rough draft on a Dunkin Donuts bag before sharing this beautiful masterpiece.

Trade your stilettos for boots so you can feel every rung.

As you travel thru every type of weather and terrain

Enjoy them all for what they are.

Take in and savor their vast differences.

The desert can be just as thrilling as the sunlit meadow.

The pelting rain can be just as glorious as the warm breeze of summer.

Please know that every mile was meant to be.
