I keep coming back to this one…

Of all the photos I’ve been honored to take of Hannah, I just keep looking at this one over and over again. It really says so much. Hannah Carter is a Principal Dancer at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, and just a magical person to be around. Her movements are absolutely captivating. Everything she does is so masterful, down to every last finger. She completely draws me in when I watch her on stage. I have sat there and cried in my seat with the beauty and emotion of it all. I feel so grateful to be able to create with Hannah and have her trust me to photograph her. I absolutely love it.

I call this lighting set up, my “special sauce” lighting. Like a chef has their own secret sauce, well this is mine: here you go. The secret is out! Try it! It’s a little spicy, but very delicious. Only for the most special of situations. Doesn’t work for everything but when all comes together, it is so yummy. The other detail I like about this is that my paper is at the end of the roll. It’s like, I’m all out. I’m giving everything that I have and Hannah is too.
