Healing and growing

Healing from a painful injury and surgery builds resilience. It demands patience, perseverance, and a deep well of inner strength. Getting back on a horse or returning to any kind of sport after an injury is not just physically challenging! It tests your mental strength and confidence! Every small victory — from the first tentative step to the full return to form — is a testament to the human spirit’s ability to overcome adversity. Each moment of doubt faced and conquered becomes a building block for becoming a more deeply healed, self-compassionate, stronger person in every way.

Almost 8 years ago, I had a bad fall from a horse.

I absolutely love riding horses. I have been riding forever, and falling off is part of the sport. You try to learn how to “fall well” but sometimes…

Well, in 2017, I broke my collarbone in 3 pieces and it needed surgery and a metal plate and 5 screws to hold it together. This week I had surgery to take that plate and those screws out because it started to really hurt. My bone is ok on its own but it will take months for everything to heal, this time without the metal.  My intuition tells me I will feel better than ever, and it never steers me wrong. ❤️ Healing at home with my loved ones. So grateful to have this time. You know I will be back in the saddle asap! 🥰

I love this horse, Dozer! He makes me feel safe and happy and I am so excited to ride him again soon.
