Anita Buzzy-Prentiss is a professional photographer and the owner of Buzzy Photography, a studio she’s nurtured since 1996.Her lifelong connection to movement—first as a dancer, later through horses, yoga, martial arts, and teaching Pilates—fuels her photography. She doesn’t just capture images; she captures the energy, rhythm, and emotion that live inside them.

Anita earned her degree in Communication Arts from Allegheny College, concentrating in photography, documentary filmmaking, dance, vocal, and theatre performance. That rich, interdisciplinary mix still shapes her today—an artist guided by rhythm, storytelling, and deep emotion. Always evolving, she loves collaborating with other creatives and exploring new ways of seeing and creating.

Her work has been widely published, but one of her favorite honors is seeing her photographs displayed as banners at the entrance of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and featured across their platforms, where she regularly photographs all their dancers and administrators. She’s also been voted Best Photographer by The Knot Weddings for over a decade, received the Influential Leadership Award from Pittsburgh Professional Women, and been recognized by the Pas De Deux Dance Photographer’s Conference as both an award-winner and a featured speaker.

Through her Buzzy Vibe Tribe, Anita mentors other creators in helping to unlock their highest creative potential through the art of photography.She is always evolving. Anita has published two books—Porchraits and Waiting in the Wings—and is currently exploring new projects in nature photography and magical children’s portraits.
